It looks like NBC is going to compete for viewers this coming fall 2014. They have added Constantine from DC Comics. Fall 2014 brings out more from the comic books that the large portion of viewers grew up on and that most of society is currently becoming great fans to.
Constantine is part of the new 52 comics from DC, but the original comics was Hellblazer that started in publication in 1988. The series ended with 300 issues in April 2013.
The movie in 2005 Constantine was loosely adapted from the Hellblazer comic.
This is the story of John Constantine, who is a seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult. He teams up with Liv. who is in danger because of her second sight and ability to see world's beyond our world, they travel around sending the hellish demons back to hell.
From what they have given us as a trailer for the TV show it looks like this show will be a little like both comics. Looking at the comics from the YouTube trailer there seems to be mixed emotions of whether this will be a success or a failure. When the show starts in the fall we will see how good it will turn out.
